Deliciously Sweet and Refreshing: Homemade Falooda Recipe
Falooda is a delightful and refreshing dessert drink that originates from the Indian subcontinent. It’s a perfect treat for hot days or whenever you crave something cold.

Few variations of falooda with different flavors:
- Rose Falooda
- Mango Falooda
- Pistachio Falooda
- Chocolate Falooda
- Strawberry Falooda
- Coffee Falooda
- Vanilla Falooda
These are just a few ideas, but you can get creative and experiment with various flavors and ingredients to customize your falooda according to your preferences!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1/4 cup sugar (adjust according to taste)
- 1/4 cup falooda sev (vermicelli)
- 2 tablespoons sabja seeds (basil seeds)
- 1/4 cup chopped assorted nuts (pistachios, almonds, cashews)
- 1/2 cup cooked and chilled falooda noodles
- 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream
- Rose syrup or Rooh Afza (to taste)
- Optional toppings: chopped fruits like mango, strawberry, or banana
Instructions:
- Soak the sabja seeds in water for about 15-20 minutes until they swell up. Drain and set aside.
- Cook the falooda sev (vermicelli) according to package instructions until it's soft but not mushy. Drain, rinse with cold water, and set aside.
- In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat. Add sugar and stir until it dissolves completely. Once the milk comes to a gentle boil, turn off the heat and let it cool down.
- Once the milk has cooled, chill it in the refrigerator until ready to use.
- To assemble the falooda, take serving glasses. Add a tablespoon of soaked sabja seeds to each glass.
- Then add a tablespoon of cooked falooda noodles to each glass.
- Pour the chilled milk over the noodles and seeds, filling about 3/4 of the glass.
- Drizzle rose syrup or Rooh Afza over the milk according to taste.
- Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to each glass.
- Garnish with chopped nuts and any optional toppings you like.
- Serve immediately with a long spoon and a straw.
